As an Operating Room RN, you will be responsible for providing direct and individualized nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgery. This includes preparing the operating room, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available, and maintaining strict adherence to aseptic technique and infection control standards. Operating Room RN (OR Nurse) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all instruments, equipment, and supplies are sterile and ready for use.
- Assist the surgical team during operations by anticipating needs and providing necessary instruments and materials.
- Monitor patient status throughout the perioperative process, documenting care and communicating any changes to the surgical team.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
- Participate in on-call rotation, remaining available for emergency surgical cases and prompt call-back as required.
- Provide patient and family education regarding preoperative and postoperative care as appropriate.
- Demonstrate competency in multiple specialties, including General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Spine, Urology, and with training, Ophthalmology and Dental surgeries.
- Utilize electronic medical records for accurate documentation; Meditech experience is an asset, with training available.
- Work independently and as part of a collaborative team following completion of orientation.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Successful completion of AORN 101 training is required.
- CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room) or CAORN certification is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in English, both verbal and written communication.
- Experience with electronic documentation required; familiarity with Meditech is an advantage, with training provided.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 25 lbs as part of the physical demands of the role.
- Reliable transportation to meet on-call response time requirements.
