The Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) plays a pivotal role within the surgical services team, focusing on delivering high-quality patient care throughout surgical and invasive procedures. Encompass Healthcare Staffing is seeking a skilled and dedicated OR RN to support a traveler-friendly healthcare facility. This position reports to the Director of Surgical Services or the OR Charge Registered Nurse and is responsible for ensuring patient safety and effective collaboration with the surgical team during each phase of perioperative care. The OR RN will adhere strictly to AORN Standards as well as all hospital policies and procedures.
As an OR RN, you will be responsible for managing the nursing care of patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. This includes thorough patient assessments, monitoring vital signs, preparing the operating room, and ensuring that all necessary surgical instruments and supplies are available and sterile. The OR RN is tasked with advocating for the patient’s safety and well-being at all times, working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other OR staff to facilitate a smooth and successful surgical experience.
