Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations, including physical assessments and reviewing patient histories for adult oncology patients in an outpatient setting.
- Manage follow-up care for established oncology patients, focusing on breast and genitourinary (GU) malignancies.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary team members.
- Evaluate and manage treatment side effects, provide symptom management, and offer survivorship care planning.
- Handle urgent add-on appointments for acute oncology issues as necessary during clinic hours.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, laboratory results, and imaging studies relevant to oncology care.
- Educate patients and families about disease processes, treatment options, and ongoing care needs.
- Document all patient encounters, assessments, and care plans accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary oncology team to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff meetings, and continuing education opportunities offered by the medical center.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current and unrestricted Physician Assistant license (PA-C) in California, or eligibility to obtain.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of recent experience practicing as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in oncology, preferably in an outpatient setting.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and care planning skills specific to oncology patient populations.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and patient education abilities.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing learning in the field of oncology.
