Oncology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NP/PA) - Summary
- Advanced practice provider role specializing in breast oncology care
- Collaborates with medical breast oncologists and interdisciplinary care teams
- Focus on delivering ambulatory care, managing treatment plans, and supporting patients throughout the cancer continuum
- Contributes to patient-centered, evidence-based oncology practice
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive support and care for breast cancer patients from diagnosis through survivorship
- Deliver ambulatory oncology care in collaboration with 2-3 medical breast oncologists
- Manage and monitor chemotherapy and other cancer-related treatments
- Assess and address acute patient needs as they arise
- Coordinate interdisciplinary care, working closely with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other specialists
- Develop, implement, and adjust patient-centered treatment plans as necessary
- Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatment options, and post-treatment survivorship
- Promote a supportive and compassionate environment for all patients and staff members

Qualifications & Requirements
- Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) program
- Active and unrestricted state license or eligibility for state licensure
- Current life support certifications as required (including BLS, PALS, NRP, and ACLS)
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN), Certified Breast Care Nurse (CBCN), or Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP) certifications are a plus but not required
- Previous experience in oncology, chemotherapy administration, or women’s health is preferred
