Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA-C) - Summary
- Deliver exceptional oncology care as a key member of the clinical team
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to address patient needs
- Provide full-time locum coverage and support continuity of patient care
- Engage in patient assessment, treatment planning, and health monitoring
- Educate patients and families to promote self-care and independence
Duties & Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with physicians and managers to determine patient needs and coordinate care
- Perform routine and comprehensive physical assessments utilizing systematic and evidence-based skills
- Contribute to personalized care plans for pre-defined oncology patient problems
- Uphold and respect patient rights, including informed consent, privacy, confidentiality, and the right to refuse care
- Assist in patient education efforts, empowering individuals to manage their health and treatment
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and departmental protocols at all times
- Support physicians during special procedures as needed

Qualifications & Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Physician Assistant (PA) program
- Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) via ANCC or AANP, or as a Physician Assistant (PA-C)
- Active Indiana RN license required
- Possession of, or eligibility for, an active Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license and Controlled Substance Registration (CSR)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Demonstrated experience in oncology or a strong interest in oncology practice preferred
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment
