Oncologist, MD - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage various types of cancers in adult patients
- Develop and implement individualized oncology treatment plans
- Collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, nurses, and other specialists as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatments as needed, and provide supportive care
- Educate patients and families about cancer diagnoses, treatment options, and prognosis
- Participate in tumor board meetings and case conferences
- Stay current with the latest advancements in oncology through continuing education and professional development
- Ensure adherence to all relevant medical ethics, legal standards, and organizational policies

Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Board certification or eligibility in Oncology
- Valid and unrestricted medical license (or eligibility to obtain) in Vermont
- Strong clinical knowledge and experience in oncology care
