Oncologist, MD - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Diagnose, evaluate, and treat patients with a variety of oncological conditions using the latest evidence-based practices.
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, and other specialists.
- Manage chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, and other treatment regimens as appropriate.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatments as necessary, and provide ongoing follow-up care.
- Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment options, possible side effects, and prognosis.
- Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards, case discussions, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Engage in continuing medical education (CME) to stay current with advances in Oncology.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an accredited residency training program in Internal Medicine.
- Fellowship training in Oncology.
- Board certified or board eligible in Oncology.
- Current and unrestricted medical license, or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Strong clinical knowledge in the field of Oncology and commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
