The Obstetrician Gynecologist (OBGYN) role involves delivering high-quality patient care for labor, delivery, gynecological procedures, and consultative services, ensuring patient safety and well-being throughout the continuum of care. The position offers both primary and secondary call responsibilities, allowing the OBGYN to work collaboratively with an experienced medical team in a supportive environment. This full-time opportunity provides comprehensive exposure to a wide range of obstetric and gynecologic cases, making it ideal for those passionate about maternal and women’s health.

The role involves close interaction with midwives, physician assistants (PAs), and other healthcare professionals, fostering a collaborative and patient-centered atmosphere. The hospital covers travel arrangements for the OBGYN, ensuring a seamless transition into the team. Support staff includes a team of midwives and PAs, providing additional coverage and assistance as needed. Credentialing is streamlined, with temporary privileges available and a standard timeline of 30-60 days for full credentialing.
The Obstetrician Gynecologist (OBGYN) position requires a current and valid medical license, with preference for candidates holding an active MI license or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) eligibility. Essential certifications include Fetal Heart Monitoring, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Experience with labor and delivery, circumcisions, gynecologic surgeries, emergency gynecology, and reading non-stress tests (NSTs) is required. Comfort with performing circumcisions is preferred, though internal providers can offer support if needed.
This OBGYN role is ideal for those who excel in fast-paced environments and are committed to providing exceptional care to patients.
