Obstetrician Gynecologist (OBGYN) - Summary- Full-time OBGYN position with both clinic and hospital responsibilities
- Structured schedule with weekend call coverage and weekday clinic/hospital shifts
- Collaboration with an experienced, multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Access to pediatric support from a nearby children's hospital
- Utilization of advanced EMR systems (EPIC)
- Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Deliver 24-hour call coverage during assigned weekends as scheduled
- Manage patient admissions and consults, with an average inpatient census of 2 and approximately 1 admission per day or night
- Work with an interdisciplinary team to ensure patients receive timely and effective care
- Participate in hospital orientation prior to the start of regular duties
- Ensure adherence to hospital protocols and best practices for women's health
- Utilize EPIC EMR for patient documentation and care coordination
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and clinical staff regarding care plans
- Collaborate with pediatric transport services as needed for maternal and neonatal emergencies
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough medical records in compliance with hospital standards

- Active, unrestricted medical license
- Completion of hospital credentialing process prior to start date
- Current ALSO (Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics) certification, or willingness to obtain within 6 months if seeking long-term placement
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification for long-term or 6-month engagement
- Evidence of completion of AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course within the past two years
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR or similar systems
- Demonstrates excellent clinical judgment and up-to-date knowledge in obstetrics and gynecology
- Flexible and reliable, able to manage both scheduled clinic hours and on-call responsibilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality care to a diverse patient population
- Willingness to adapt to evolving schedules and participate in continuous professional development
- The OBGYN will be part of a 114-bed hospital with an average inpatient census of 2
- No ICU responsibilities or code response required
- Orientation is required prior to starting regular duties
