The OBGYN Physician (Obstetrician-Gynecologist, OB/GYN) plays a vital role in delivering comprehensive and compassionate care for women throughout every stage of life. You will have the opportunity to conduct annual exams, provide preconception counseling, manage prenatal care, and guide patients through labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery. In this role, you will be closely involved in the patient experience at the Family Birth Center, renowned for its family-oriented and supportive environment. The birthing and labor experience is designed to empower women and their families, offering private and spacious birthing suites, partner accommodations, and a variety of comfort measures such as massaging showers, birthing balls, and flexible positioning options. Wireless fetal monitoring and doula support are available to support low-intervention labor, while the option for labor tubs and walking provides individualized patient choices. Practices such as delayed umbilical cord clamping and immediate skin-to-skin contact after delivery are standard, contributing to improved newborn transition and breastfeeding outcomes.
Breastfeeding support is a cornerstone of care, with in-room encouragement and access to lactation specialists. Free childbirth classes and support groups are offered to further empower families during their birthing journey. The Family Birth Center has received national recognition as a designated Baby-Friendly Hospital, reflecting its commitment to the highest standards in maternity and infant care. - Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Completion of an accredited OB/GYN residency program
- Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN)
- Valid medical license to practice as an OBGYN Physician (Obstetrician-Gynecologist, OB/GYN)
