OBGYN Hospitalist (OB/GYN)

We are seeking a dedicated and highly qualified OBGYN Hospitalist (OB/GYN) to join a leading hospital system in Northern New Jersey. This opportunity is ideal for professionals who are passionate about women's health and are comfortable providing comprehensive care in a fast-paced hospital environment. As an OBGYN Hospitalist, you will be an essential part of a collaborative Labor & Delivery team that is committed to delivering outstanding patient outcomes and exceptional care. The hospital employs a structured hospitalist model, with a consistent volume of obstetric cases and a supportive, team-based approach to patient management.

As an OBGYN Hospitalist (OB/GYN), you will provide full clinical oversight of obstetric patients, including triage, labor and delivery, and complex procedures such as cesarean sections and D&C procedures. Working alongside experienced nursing staff and Certified Nurse Midwives, you will ensure that each patient receives timely, evidence-based care within a state-of-the-art facility using the EPIC EMR system. The position features 24-hour in-house coverage shifts, providing both predictability and the ability to focus exclusively on hospital-based patient care without the need for outpatient clinic responsibilities.

This hospitalist role is designed for physicians who excel in dynamic, high-volume environments. The average daily volume includes approximately 37 deliveries per day, ensuring a steady and manageable workflow. Physicians work solo on their shifts, but have access to strong nursing support and opportunities for collaborative care with midwives. The hospital's structured approach removes the burden of over- or underutilization, allowing you to focus on patient care and clinical decision-making.

Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology and should be comfortable practicing independently within a hospital setting. An active New Jersey medical license is preferred, but candidates with the ability to obtain licensure are also encouraged to apply. Flexibility in scheduling is offered, with block shifts available to accommodate personal and professional needs, making this opportunity highly attractive for those seeking both stability and work-life balance.

Joining this respected healthcare organization as an OBGYN Hospitalist (OB/GYN) provides the chance to work in a region known for its vibrant communities and access to leading healthcare resources. The hospital is committed to maintaining a supportive and inclusive work environment, ensuring all staff members are valued and empowered to succeed. If you are ready to make a difference in women's health and enjoy working in a collaborative, structured hospitalist model, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding role by clicking the job application button on this page.
