OB Hospitalist Site Director (OB/GYN, OB Hospitalist Director) - Summary
- Lead and oversee the daily operations of the OB Hospitalist program.
- Foster a value-based, quality-driven culture in obstetric care delivery.
- Serve as the primary liaison between clinical teams and hospital leadership.
- Provide direct patient care through scheduled hospitalist shifts.
- Participate in strategic initiatives to improve labor and delivery services.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure program operations are aligned with quality, safety, and value-based objectives.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with medical staff, nursing teams, and hospital administration to promote collaborative care.
- Support and mentor the OB Hospitalist physician and CNM teams, promoting professional development and positive team dynamics.
- Report directly to the Market Medical Director, Medical Director of Operations, or Vice President of Clinical Operations, collaborating on clinical and operational goals.
- Travel as needed to the hospital site to address operational priorities and support hospitalist teams.
- Train and develop new clinicians in the program's value-based culture, ensuring consistency in care standards.
- Communicate, implement, and enforce clinical policies and procedures within the hospitalist program.
- Manage minor physician issues, escalating concerns to appropriate leadership as necessary.
- Work with hospital executives and clinical leadership to identify and implement strategies to increase labor and delivery unit utilization.
- Fulfill a minimum of five 24-hour (or equivalent) OB hospitalist shifts within each 28-day period, providing direct patient care and supporting department needs.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) is mandatory.
- Active and unrestricted medical license to practice medicine in the assigned state.
- Strong relational skills and the ability to build rapport with a wide range of hospital stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and leading clinical teams in a hospital setting.
- Significant experience in obstetrical emergency care is highly preferred.
