The OB Hospitalist Site Director (OB/GYN Hospitalist Director) position offers an exciting leadership opportunity for board-certified OB/GYN physicians passionate about advancing women's healthcare. As an integral member of the OB Hospitalist clinical team, the OB Hospitalist Site Director plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery, quality, and operational excellence of the OB Hospitalist program. In this leadership role, the OB Hospitalist Site Director will focus on program operations, building and maintaining collaborative relationships with hospital medical staff, nursing staff, administrative leadership, as well as the physician and CNM OB Hospitalist team. Reporting directly to the Market Medical Director, Medical Director of Operations, or Vice President of Clinical Operations, the OB Hospitalist Site Director will partner closely with these leaders to ensure that clinical and operational objectives are met for both the hospital and the OB Hospitalist program. The individual in this role is expected to travel to the hospital as needed to address priorities and maintain a visible, positive presence among staff and stakeholders.
The responsibilities include training and developing new clinicians in the value-based culture, communicating and enforcing clinical policies and procedures, and overseeing the performance of the OB Hospitalist team. The Site Director will also manage minor physician issues, escalating concerns to senior leadership as appropriate, and collaborate with hospital leadership to identify opportunities to enhance labor and delivery utilization. A key aspect of the position is the ability to build strong, productive relationships across all levels of the organization to drive high-quality, patient-centered care.
The OB Hospitalist Site Director (OB/GYN Hospitalist Director) is required to work at least five 24-hour (or equivalent) OB hospitalist shifts every 28-day period, demonstrating a strong commitment to patient care while simultaneously fulfilling the site's leadership and administrative duties.
