OB Hospitalist Site Director (OB/GYN Hospitalist Director) – Full-time
We are seeking an experienced and motivated OB Hospitalist Site Director (OB/GYN Hospitalist Director) to join our dedicated clinical team. In this leadership position, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining an exceptional OB hospitalist program, ensuring high-quality patient care, and fostering a value-based culture. As the OB Hospitalist Site Director, you will work collaboratively with hospital medical staff, nursing staff, and administrative leadership, as well as the physician and CNM OB hospitalist team, to exceed clinical and operational objectives within a supportive healthcare environment. This opportunity is ideal for a Board Certified OB/GYN physician with a track record of clinical excellence and a passion for effective team leadership.
OB Hospitalist Site Director (OB/GYN Hospitalist Director) - Summary
- Lead the operational and clinical aspects of the OB hospitalist program, ensuring the delivery of patient-centered, evidence-based care.
- Serve as the primary liaison between hospital administration, medical staff, and the OB hospitalist team to foster collaboration and program success.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement throughout the obstetrical service line.
- Report directly to the Market Medical Director (MMD), Medical Director of Operations (MDO), or Vice President of Clinical Operations (VPCO) while collaborating with other clinical leaders.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee program operations to ensure the highest standards of obstetrical care are met and maintained.
- Establish and nurture effective working relationships with hospital medical staff, nursing personnel, and administrative leaders.
- Maintain strong communication and collaboration with the OB hospitalist physician and Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) teams.
- Collaborate closely with the MMD, MDO, or VPCO to align program performance with both organizational and hospital objectives.
- Travel as needed to the hospital to address operational priorities and support the clinical team.
- Provide mentorship, training, and support to new clinicians to foster a value-based, patient-first culture.
- Communicate and enforce clinical policies, procedures, and expectations for all team members.
- Proactively manage minor physician issues, escalating to senior leadership when appropriate.
- Work with hospital leadership and clinical operations to identify opportunities to increase labor and delivery utilization and enhance patient outcomes.
- Participate in a minimum of five (5) 24-hour (or equivalent) OB hospitalist shifts per 28-day period to maintain clinical proficiency and program engagement.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) is required.
- Valid and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of assignment.
- Proven ability to build strong rapport and maintain positive working relationships with hospital leadership, hospitalist teams, nurses, staff physicians, and corporate staff.
- Significant experience with obstetrical emergency care is preferred.
