The OB Hospitalist Site Director position offers an opportunity to influence and maintain high standards of obstetrical care, lead a multidisciplinary team, and participate in the ongoing development of a value-based healthcare culture. You will be empowered to implement and enforce clinical policies, help train new clinicians, and drive continuous improvement in labor and delivery services. This full-time position consists of at least five 24-hour hospitalist shifts per 28-day period, ensuring you remain actively involved in clinical practice while also fulfilling your leadership duties. OB Hospitalist Site Director (OB/GYN Hospitalist Director) - Summary
- Lead and oversee the OB hospitalist program to ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care
- Collaborate with hospital administration, nursing staff, and medical teams to meet clinical and operational objectives
- Serve as a key liaison between the OB hospitalist team and hospital leadership
- Maintain a strong clinical presence with a commitment to excellence in obstetrical care
Duties & Responsibilities
- Direct program operations to maintain and enhance quality of care within the OB hospitalist program
- Foster positive relationships with hospital medical staff, nursing staff, and administrative leaders
- Develop and support the OB hospitalist clinical team, including physicians and certified nurse midwives (CNMs)
- Report to senior medical leadership and collaborate on program goals and metrics
- Participate in regular hospital visits to address operational issues and support hospitalist staff
- Train and mentor new clinicians in value-based care and organizational expectations
- Communicate and enforce clinical policies, procedures, and standards of care
- Address minor physician concerns and escalate significant issues to appropriate medical directors
- Work with hospital and corporate leadership to identify opportunities for increased labor and delivery utilization
- Fulfill a minimum of five 24-hour (or equivalent) OB hospitalist shifts per 28-day period

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN)
- Active and unrestricted medical license in the applicable state
- Demonstrated ability to build strong professional relationships across multidisciplinary teams
- Significant experience in obstetrical emergency care (preferred)
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
