The OB Hospitalist Site Director (OB/GYN Hospitalist Director) plays a pivotal leadership role in overseeing the operations and quality of a hospital-based obstetrics program. This full-time opportunity offers a dynamic environment for board-certified OB/GYN physicians who are passionate about advancing clinical excellence and operational efficiency in women's health services. The OB Hospitalist Site Director is responsible for ensuring high standards of patient care, fostering collaborative relationships with multidisciplinary teams, and driving the success of the hospitalist program. With a key focus on value-based care, the OB Hospitalist Site Director will lead and mentor clinical staff, support program operations, and work closely with hospital administration to achieve organizational goals.
In this leadership position, the OB Hospitalist Site Director will report directly to the Market Medical Director (MMD), Medical Director of Operations (MDO), or Vice President of Clinical Operations (VPCO). You will serve as a crucial liaison between hospital leadership, clinical teams, and organizational management, contributing to both clinical and operational objectives. The role requires the ability to build and maintain strong, positive relationships with medical staff, nursing teams, administrative leaders, and corporate stakeholders. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication and organizational skills, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of obstetrical care.
The OB Hospitalist Site Director will be responsible for program operations, including the delivery of quality care, training and development of new clinicians in a value-based culture, and the communication and enforcement of clinical policies and expectations. This role also involves managing day-to-day physician issues, escalating concerns as needed, and actively participating in strategies to enhance the utilization of labor and delivery services. The position requires regular on-site presence at the hospital to address operational priorities and collaborate with leadership on program improvements.
OB Hospitalist Site Directors are expected to fulfill a minimum commitment of five (5) 24-hour hospitalist shifts within each 28-day period, ensuring continuous clinical coverage and direct involvement in patient care.
