OB Hospitalist Site Director (OB/GYN Hospitalist Director) - Summary
- Lead and oversee the daily operations of the OB hospitalist program within a respected healthcare facility.
- Collaborate closely with hospital administration, medical staff, and nursing teams to achieve quality and operational goals.
- Support a value-based care model that prioritizes patient safety, satisfaction, and clinical excellence.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage program operations to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality obstetric care.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with hospital medical staff, nursing teams, administrative leadership, and the physician and certified nurse midwife (CNM) hospitalist team.
- Serve as the primary liaison, reporting to the Market Medical Director, Medical Director of Operations, or Vice President of Clinical Operations.
- Collaborate with leadership to meet clinical and operational objectives for both the organization and the hospital.
- Travel to the hospital as needed to address operational priorities and support hospitalist functions.
- Recruit, train, and mentor new clinicians in the organization’s value-based culture and clinical protocols.
- Communicate and enforce clinical policies, procedures, and expectations for the hospitalist team.
- Manage minor physician issues and escalate to senior leadership as appropriate.
- Work with hospital leadership and other stakeholders to identify and implement strategies to enhance Labor and Delivery service utilization.
- Perform a minimum of five 24-hour hospitalist shifts (or equivalent) in each 28-day period, ensuring continuous, on-site clinical leadership.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN).
- Current license to practice medicine in the state of assignment.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with all levels of hospital staff and administration.
- Experience in obstetrical emergency care is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, implement policies, and resolve minor physician issues.
