OB Hospitalist Site Director (OB/GYN Director) - Summary
- Lead and oversee the daily operations of the OB hospitalist program to ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety.
- Develop and nurture strong working relationships with hospital staff, including physicians, certified nurse midwives, nurses, and administrative teams.
- Serve as a liaison between the OB hospitalist team and hospital leadership to align clinical and operational goals.
- Promote a value-based care culture through effective communication, training, and enforcement of clinical policies.
- Ensure smooth onboarding of new clinicians and promote ongoing professional development within the team.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee program operations to guarantee the consistent delivery of quality obstetric care.
- Maintain and strengthen professional relationships with medical staff, nursing teams, and hospital administrators.
- Coordinate with executive clinical leadership to support hospitalist team objectives and hospital operational goals.
- Travel to the hospital as needed to address operational priorities and provide on-site leadership.
- Train and develop new clinicians to uphold a culture of value-based care and clinical excellence.
- Communicate, implement, and enforce clinical policies, procedures, and expectations to ensure compliance and high standards.
- Address and manage minor physician issues, escalating concerns to executive leadership when required.
- Work collaboratively with hospital leaders to identify opportunities for increasing labor and delivery utilization and enhancing patient outcomes.
- Fulfill a minimum of five 24-hour hospitalist shifts, or their equivalent, within each 28-day period to maintain clinical engagement and oversight.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) is required.
- Current medical license in the state of practice site.
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships and rapport with hospital leadership, hospitalist teams, nursing staff, and other key stakeholders.
- Significant experience in obstetrical emergency care is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with a commitment to fostering teamwork and a positive workplace culture.
