The OB Hospitalist Site Director (OB/GYN) serves as a key clinical and operational leader within the OB Hospitalist team, focusing on the delivery of high-quality, value-based obstetric hospitalist care. This full-time leadership role is responsible for overseeing program operations, fostering collaborative relationships with hospital medical and nursing staff, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care are met. The OB Hospitalist Site Director (OB/GYN) works closely with the Market Medical Director (MMD), Medical Director of Operations (MDO), or Vice President of Clinical Operations (VPCO) to achieve both clinical excellence and operational efficiency.
As an OB Hospitalist Site Director (OB/GYN), you will be instrumental in maintaining a value-based culture and upholding clinical policies and procedures. You will provide mentorship and training to new clinicians, ensuring they embody the program's core values and commitment to quality. The position also involves proactive problem-solving, effective communication, and the ability to address challenges as they arise, escalating issues appropriately to higher management when needed. Your leadership will help drive the utilization and success of Labor and Delivery services, contributing to superior outcomes for patients and the hospital as a whole.

OB Hospitalist Site Director (OB/GYN) - Summary
- Leadership role overseeing OB Hospitalist program operations and clinical quality
- Key liaison between hospital administration, clinical teams, and corporate leadership
- Ensures value-based, high-quality obstetric care delivery
- Responsible for staff development, mentorship, and program optimization
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee program operations to ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based obstetric care
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with hospital medical staff, nursing staff, and administrative leaders
- Foster strong, positive rapport with OB Hospitalist physician and Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) teams
- Report to and collaborate with Market Medical Director, Medical Director of Operations, or Vice President of Clinical Operations to achieve program objectives
- Travel to assigned hospital as needed to address operational priorities and support the hospitalist team
- Train and mentor new clinicians in value-based care practices and organizational culture
- Communicate and enforce clinical policies, procedures, and expectations to the OB Hospitalist team
- Manage minor physician issues and escalate complex matters to senior leadership as appropriate
- Work with hospital leadership to identify and implement strategies to increase Labor and Delivery service utilization
- Maintain ongoing quality improvement initiatives and track program outcomes

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified OB/GYN Physician (MD or DO)
- Current medical license in the state of practice
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with hospital leadership, clinical teams, and corporate staff
- Experience in obstetrical emergency care is preferred
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to upholding the highest standards of ethical and patient-centered care
