OB Hospitalist Site Director (OB/GYN)
The OB Hospitalist Site Director (OB/GYN) plays a critical leadership role within the obstetrics hospitalist clinical team. In this capacity, the OB Hospitalist Site Director is responsible for overseeing program operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, and fostering a value-based culture that aligns with both organizational and hospital objectives. This is a dynamic, hands-on opportunity for a board-certified OB/GYN physician who demonstrates strong relationship building skills, operational leadership, and a passion for advancing maternal health outcomes.
Serving as the primary point of contact for clinical and operational issues within the OB hospitalist program, the OB Hospitalist Site Director (OB/GYN) works closely with hospital medical and nursing staff, administrative leadership, and the OB hospitalist team, including Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs). The role requires collaboration with senior clinical leaders such as the Market Medical Director, Medical Director of Operations, or Vice President of Clinical Operations to maintain and enhance program quality and performance. The Site Director is also responsible for ensuring that clinical policies and procedures are communicated, understood, and consistently enforced.
In addition to administrative responsibilities, the OB Hospitalist Site Director (OB/GYN) remains clinically active, working a minimum of five 24-hour (or equivalent) OB hospitalist shifts within each 28-day period. This blend of clinical and leadership responsibilities ensures that the Site Director is deeply connected to both patient care and the operational needs of the program.
This position offers a comprehensive benefits package, professional development opportunities, and the chance to make a significant impact in an OB hospitalist program. The OB Hospitalist Site Director (OB/GYN) enjoys collaborating with hospital leadership to increase labor and delivery utilization, training and developing new clinicians, and upholding a culture of excellence in all aspects of care.
Working in this region offers access to a vibrant healthcare community and the opportunity to serve a diverse patient population. If you are a board-certified OB/GYN with a passion for leadership and a commitment to quality, this role provides both professional fulfillment and the ability to drive meaningful improvements in maternal health.
