OB Hospitalist Site Director (OB/GYN) - Full-Time
We are seeking a dedicated OB Hospitalist Site Director (OB/GYN) to join our clinical leadership team and play a pivotal role in delivering top-tier care within our OB Hospitalist program. This position is designed for a board-certified OB/GYN physician who is passionate about both clinical excellence and operational leadership within women’s health care. As a Site Director, you will be responsible for driving the value-based culture of our OB Hospitalist services, ensuring high-quality outcomes, and building strong professional relationships with all stakeholders including hospital leadership, medical staff, and the hospitalist team. Your leadership will be critical in maintaining program integrity, fostering a collaborative environment, and supporting both the immediate and strategic goals of our hospitalist program.
The OB Hospitalist Site Director (OB/GYN) will report directly to the Market Medical Director, Medical Director of Operations, or Vice President of Clinical Operations. This position requires a blend of clinical acumen, operational oversight, and the ability to mentor and train clinicians in a fast-paced environment. As a leader, you will serve as a liaison among the medical staff, nursing team, administrative personnel, and the OB Hospitalist group to ensure the program’s success and continuous growth. The role combines regular clinical shifts with leadership and administrative responsibilities, offering a dynamic and rewarding career path for those who aspire to make a broad impact in maternal health care.
OB Hospitalist Site Director (OB/GYN) - Summary
- Lead and oversee the OB Hospitalist program at the assigned hospital location.
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, evidence-based obstetric care.
- Foster a value-based culture and maintain strong relationships across clinical and administrative teams.
- Act as a key resource for program operations, quality improvement, and clinician training.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily program operations to guarantee quality care delivery and adherence to organizational standards.
- Build and sustain effective working relationships with hospital medical staff, nursing staff, and administrative leadership.
- Maintain collaborative relationships with the physician and Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) OB Hospitalist team, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
- Report directly to Market Medical Director, Medical Director of Operations, or Vice President of Clinical Operations, collaborating closely to meet clinical and operational objectives.
- Travel to the assigned hospital as needed to address operational priorities and participate in leadership meetings.
- Train and develop new clinicians, instilling the value-based culture and best practices in obstetrical care.
- Communicate and enforce clinical policies, procedures, and expectations within the OB Hospitalist program.
- Manage minor physician concerns and escalate complex issues to appropriate leadership team members.
- Work with hospital leadership and internal stakeholders to identify and implement strategies to increase Labor and Delivery unit utilization.
- Fulfill at least five (5) 24-hour (or equivalent) OB hospitalist shifts per 28-day period, maintaining clinical competency and visibility within the program.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN).
- Active medical license to practice in the state of the assigned site.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong rapport and positive working relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders, including hospital leadership, hospitalist teams, nurses, staff physicians, and corporate staff.
- Significant experience with obstetrical emergency care is preferred.
- Proven leadership or administrative experience within a hospital or clinical setting is highly desirable.
