The OB Hospitalist Site Director (OB/GYN) plays a crucial leadership role within the hospital’s obstetric team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, value-based care for patients. OB Hospitalist Site Director (OB/GYN) - Summary
- Lead and coordinate the OB hospitalist program, ensuring alignment with value-based care principles and clinical quality standards.
- Act as a liaison between the OB hospitalist team, hospital leadership, nursing staff, and medical staff.
- Collaborate with market and operational medical directors to meet clinical and operational goals.
- Provide mentorship and support to new clinicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the OB hospitalist program to ensure the delivery of quality patient care.
- Develop and sustain positive relationships with hospital medical staff, nursing teams, and administrative leaders.
- Support and engage the physician and certified nurse midwife (CNM) hospitalist team through regular communication and collaboration.
- Report to leadership including the Market Medical Director, Medical Director of Operations, or Vice President of Clinical Operations as appropriate.
- Work closely with hospital leadership and clinical directors to achieve both the hospital’s and program’s clinical and operational objectives.
- Travel to the hospital as needed to address operational priorities and support the team on-site.
- Assist in onboarding and training new clinicians, emphasizing a value-based approach to care.
- Communicate and enforce clinical policies, procedures, and expectations across the OB hospitalist team.
- Address and manage minor physician issues; escalate more significant concerns to appropriate leadership as needed.
- Collaborate with hospital administration and clinical leadership to develop strategies for increasing utilization of Labor and Delivery services.
- Maintain a clinical commitment of at least five (5) 24-hour hospitalist shifts per 28-day period.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN).
- Active medical license to practice as a physician in the relevant state.
- Proven ability to build strong rapport and effective working relationships with hospital leadership, hospitalist teams, nursing staff, physicians, and corporate staff.
- Significant experience in obstetrical emergency care is preferred.
