OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) – Summary
- Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care to a diverse patient population in a hospital setting.
- Lead and participate in labor and delivery board rounds and act as a safety officer to ensure best practices and outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with hospital leadership, staff physicians, nurses, and community healthcare providers.
- Full-time, shift-based hospitalist role with opportunities for professional growth and development.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver direct obstetrical and gynecological care, including contraceptive services where available.
- Provide comprehensive care for high-risk pregnancies, with support from Maternal Fetal Medicine via telemedicine as needed.
- Participate in daily labor and delivery board rounds, ensuring communication and coordination among staff.
- Serve as the Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery, overseeing patient safety for all admitted patients.
- Support community physicians and midwives through clinical assistance and practice coverage as requested and as feasible.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and clinical outcomes.
- Engage in continuing education and professional development activities to maintain board certification and licensure.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified or active candidate in Obstetrics and Gynecology (Ob/Gyn Physician).
- Current license to practice medicine in the state of employment.

- Experience with obstetrical emergency care preferred.
