OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) - Summary
- Provide direct obstetrical and gynecological patient care in a hospital setting
- Serve as a key member of a multidisciplinary labor and delivery team
- Champion patient safety and best practices for maternal health
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care, including the provision of contraceptive services where offered
- Provide expert care to high-risk obstetrical patients, including those requiring consultation with Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists via telephone or video as needed
- Participate in daily Labor and Delivery board rounds to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes
- Act as Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery, upholding standards for safety and quality for all patients
- Offer clinical assistance and practice coverage to community physicians and midwives upon request, within the scope of safe patient care
- Engage in collaborative teamwork with hospital leadership, nursing staff, and other clinicians to promote a positive, supportive environment

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible OB/GYN Physician
- Active, unrestricted medical license in the relevant state
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, able to build strong rapport with multidisciplinary teams
- Demonstrated experience in obstetrical emergency care is highly preferred
- Commitment to delivering safe, quality care in a dynamic hospital environment
