OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) – Summary
- Full-time hospital-based role focused on delivering comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care.
- Key member of a collaborative OB Hospitalist program.
- Supports community physicians and midwives in ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide direct obstetrical and gynecological care, including contraceptive services where applicable.
- Deliver high-risk patient care, utilizing maternal fetal medicine support as available by telephone or video consultation.
- Participate daily in Labor and Delivery board rounds to ensure continuity and quality of care.
- Serve as Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery, advocating for patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Support and collaborate with community physicians and midwives, assisting with clinical coverage as needed and as safely available.
- Engage in a variety of shift models, primarily 24-hour shifts, with some 12-hour or mixed-shift options.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board certified or active candidate in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN).
- Current medical license in the state of assignment, or eligibility to obtain one.

- Significant experience with obstetrical emergency care preferred.
