OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide direct obstetrical and gynecological patient care, including contraceptive services (where available).
- Manage high-risk obstetrical patients, often in collaboration with Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists via remote consultation when on-site support is unavailable.
- Participate in daily labor and delivery board rounds, contributing to case discussions and patient care planning.
- Act as the designated Safety Officer on labor and delivery units, ensuring adherence to best practices and promoting patient safety for all admissions.
- Offer clinical support and coverage to community physicians and midwives as needed and within safe practice guidelines.
- Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology (Ob/Gyn Physician).
- Active medical license (or eligibility) to practice in the assigned state.
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships and collaborate with hospital leadership, clinical teams, nursing staff, community physicians, and midwives.
- Significant experience in managing obstetrical emergencies is strongly preferred.
- Commitment to upholding best practices in patient safety and quality care.
