OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) - Summary
- Deliver comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care to patients in a hospital setting
- Work collaboratively with nurses, hospital staff, and community physicians
- Act as a key contributor to labor and delivery safety and patient outcomes
- Flexible shift models available, including 24-hour and 12-hour shifts

Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide direct obstetrical and gynecological care to patients, including contraceptive services where available
- Manage and deliver care to high-risk obstetrical patients, utilizing Maternal Fetal Medicine support via telephone or video consultation as needed
- Participate in daily board rounds in Labor and Delivery, contributing clinical insight and expertise
- Serve as Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery, ensuring optimal patient outcomes regardless of primary admitting clinician
- Support community physicians and midwives through clinical assistance and practice coverage as requested
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with clinical protocols and hospital policies

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible OB/GYN Physician
- Active medical license to practice as a physician in the state of assignment
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build positive professional relationships with hospital leadership, hospitalist teams, nurses, staff physicians, and corporate staff
- Significant experience in managing obstetrical emergencies is preferred
- Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and adherence to best practices and hospital guidelines
