OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) - Full-Time
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) for a full-time opportunity. This position offers the chance to play a vital role in providing high-quality obstetric and gynecological care within a collaborative hospital-based environment. The OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) will be responsible for delivering comprehensive care to patients with a focus on those with high-risk pregnancies or complex medical needs. You will collaborate with physicians, midwives, nursing staff, and Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists to ensure optimal outcomes for all patients. Your expertise will be essential for supporting community physicians and midwives, participating in daily Labor and Delivery board rounds, and acting as a Safety Officer to promote safe patient care practices throughout the department.
This full-time position involves a flexible shift schedule, primarily consisting of 24-hour shifts, with some opportunities for 12-hour or mixed-shift models. The position is ideally suited for board-certified or board-eligible OB/GYN physicians who have demonstrated experience in obstetrical emergency care and are committed to fostering positive, collaborative relationships within the hospital environment.

OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) - Summary- Provide high-quality obstetric and gynecological care in a hospital-based environment.
- Work collaboratively with physicians, midwives, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Focus on safety, patient outcomes, and clinical excellence for maternity patients.
- Deliver comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care, including contraceptive services where available.
- Provide direct care to high-risk patients; collaborate with Maternal Fetal Medicine as needed, including remote consultations.
- Participate in daily Labor and Delivery board rounds to ensure continuity and quality of patient care.
- Serve as Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery, promoting the safest outcomes for all patients regardless of admitting clinician.
- Support community physicians and midwives through clinical assistance and practice coverage as needed and feasible.
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold all hospital policies and clinical protocols.

- Board Certified or Board Eligible OB/GYN Physician (MD or DO).
- Active medical license in the state of the hospital site (as required).
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with hospital leadership, colleagues, and staff.
- Significant experience in obstetrical emergency care preferred.
- Demonstrates a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.
- Highly relational, collaborative, and able to work effectively with diverse clinical teams.
- Proactive in ensuring patient safety and positive maternal-fetal outcomes.
