We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled OB Hospitalist Physician to join our clinical team. As an OB Hospitalist Physician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of obstetric and gynecological care for patients in a hospital setting. This position is well-suited for an experienced OB/GYN physician who is passionate about providing comprehensive care to expectant mothers and supporting the safety and well-being of all patients on the Labor and Delivery unit. The OB Hospitalist Physician position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing direct patient care to a diverse patient population, including those with high-risk pregnancies. You will have the chance to influence clinical protocols, serve as a safety advocate, and support both hospital and community providers. The role involves a flexible shift schedule, primarily consisting of 24-hour shifts, with some 12-hour or mixed-shift models available to meet the needs of the department and patients. OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) - Summary
- Deliver high-quality obstetrical and gynecological care to patients in a hospital environment
- Support the Labor and Delivery team as a clinical leader and safety advocate
- Collaborate with hospital staff, community physicians, and midwives to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Work flexible shifts, primarily 24-hour shifts, with full-time clinicians typically working 5-9 shifts per 28-day block
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to individuals experiencing both routine and high-risk pregnancies, utilizing expertise in obstetrics and gynecology
- Deliver contraceptive services at facilities where these services are offered
- Participate in daily Labor and Delivery board rounds, offering clinical insight and recommendations
- Act as the designated Safety Officer for Labor and Delivery, advocating for the safest possible outcomes for all patients, regardless of their primary admitting clinician
- Support and collaborate with community physicians and midwives by providing clinical assistance and practice coverage as requested and within safe practice boundaries
- Respond to obstetrical emergencies, leveraging clinical experience to provide timely and effective care
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives on the unit and within the hospitalist program

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified or active candidate in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN)
- Valid medical license to practice in the assigned state
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with hospital leadership, hospitalist teams, nurses, staff physicians, and corporate staff
- Significant experience in obstetrical emergency care is preferred
