OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) - Summary
As an OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist), you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care within a hospital setting. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, support community physicians and midwives, and contribute to initiatives that promote patient safety and clinical excellence. The work environment offers a dynamic blend of clinical practice, patient interaction, and professional collaboration, ensuring a rewarding experience for those who thrive in high-acuity, fast-paced settings.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide obstetrical and gynecological care to patients, including contraceptive services at applicable hospitals.
- Deliver direct patient care, particularly to high-risk patients, utilizing Maternal Fetal Medicine support as needed via telephone or video consultation.
- Participate in daily Labor and Delivery board rounds, contributing to effective communication and coordinated patient management.
- Serve as the Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery, ensuring consistent standards of safety for every patient, regardless of their primary admitting clinician.
- Support community physicians and midwives by providing clinical assistance and practice coverage as requested and as safely available.
- Adhere to the highest standards of patient safety, clinical integrity, and evidence-based practice.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership, hospitalist teams, nurses, and staff physicians to maintain a positive and efficient care environment.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified or Active Candidate in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN Physician).
- Current and valid medical license to practice in the state of assignment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and positive working relationships with all stakeholders, including hospital leadership, hospitalist teams, nurses, staff physicians, and corporate staff.
- Demonstrated experience with obstetrical emergency care is preferred.
