OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) – Full-Time
Join a dedicated team as an OB Hospitalist Physician, where you will play a vital role in the delivery of high-quality obstetrical and gynecological care within a hospital setting. As an OB Hospitalist, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for every patient, particularly those at high risk. This full-time OB Hospitalist Physician position is designed for board-certified or board-eligible OB/GYN physicians who are passionate about patient safety, clinical excellence, and supporting both patients and fellow healthcare providers.
Our OB Hospitalist program is dedicated to providing comprehensive care for women throughout their labor and delivery experience. This role involves close coordination with community physicians, midwives, and hospital staff to create a safe and supportive environment for all patients. The OB Hospitalist Physician will serve as a safety officer on the Labor and Delivery unit, actively participating in daily board rounds and ensuring optimal patient outcomes, regardless of the primary admitting clinician.
The OB Hospitalist Physician position offers a rewarding opportunity to deliver direct patient care, especially to high-risk obstetric patients. You will work within an innovative team model that may include Maternal Fetal Medicine support through telemedicine. Clinicians in this role will generally work 24-hour shifts, with some models offering 12-hour or mixed shifts. Full-time clinicians typically commit to 5 or more shifts per 28-day period. OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) – Summary- Deliver comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care to patients in a hospital setting
- Collaborate with hospital teams, community physicians, and midwives to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes
- Participate in daily Labor and Delivery board rounds and serve as Safety Officer
- Provide direct care to high-risk patients, including those requiring Maternal Fetal Medicine consultation
- Deliver obstetrical and gynecological care, including contraceptive services where available
- Support and collaborate with community physicians and midwives through clinical assistance and practice coverage
- Participate in daily board rounds on Labor and Delivery
- Act as Safety Officer to monitor and promote the safest outcomes for all patients, regardless of primary clinician
- Provide care to high-risk obstetrical patients, consulting Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists as needed via phone or video
- Commit to a flexible shift schedule, primarily 24-hour shifts with some 12-hour or mixed-shift opportunities

- Board Certified or Board Eligible OB/GYN Physician
- Active medical license in the state of practice
- Ability to build strong rapport with hospital leadership, hospitalist teams, nursing staff, and corporate teams
- Preferred: Significant experience with obstetrical emergency care
