OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) - Summary
- Provide hospital-based obstetrical and gynecological care to a diverse patient population as an OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist).
- Work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care in a collaborative environment.
- Ensure the highest standards of patient safety and clinical excellence in all aspects of labor and delivery.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver obstetric and gynecologic care, including but not limited to contraceptive services (where provided), for patients admitted to the hospital.
- Provide direct patient care for high-risk obstetrical patients, utilizing telemedicine support from Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists as needed.
- Participate daily in Labor and Delivery board rounds, collaborating with fellow OB Hospitalist Physicians, nurses, and other team members to review patient care plans.
- Serve as the designated Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery, ensuring optimal safety protocols and positive patient outcomes for all patients, regardless of primary admitting physician.
- Support and collaborate with community physicians and midwives, offering clinical assistance and coverage as requested and as safely available.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Demonstrated ability to build strong rapport and positive working relationships with hospital leadership, colleagues, nurses, staff physicians, and support staff.
- Significant experience in obstetrical emergency care is preferred.
