OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) - Summary
- Provide hospital-based obstetrical and gynecological care to patients.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary clinical team environment.
- Deliver care in a high-acuity, fast-paced setting with a focus on patient safety and quality outcomes.
- Engage in daily Labor and Delivery board rounds and act as a Safety Officer on the unit.
- Support and assist community physicians and midwives as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care, including contraceptive services where available.
- Manage direct patient care for high-risk obstetric patients, including cases where Maternal Fetal Medicine support is remote.
- Actively participate in daily Labor and Delivery board rounds to monitor patient progress and outcomes.
- Serve as the designated Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery, ensuring the highest standards of safety for all patients.
- Provide clinical support and coverage for community physicians and midwives, as requested.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement in patient care and safety protocols.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified or actively pursuing certification as an OB/GYN Physician.
- Current licensure to practice medicine in the state of assignment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build positive relationships with hospital leadership, hospitalist teams, nursing staff, staff physicians, and corporate personnel.
- Significant experience in obstetrical emergency care is preferred.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of clinical excellence and patient safety.
