OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) - Summary
- Provide hospital-based obstetric and gynecological care, emphasizing patient safety and quality outcomes.
- Work as part of a collaborative OB Hospitalist team to deliver high-standard patient care and support hospital operations.
- Serve as a vital resource for community physicians and midwives requiring clinical assistance or practice coverage within the hospital setting.
- Engage in hands-on care for high-risk obstetric patients, including those needing Maternal Fetal Medicine consultation via telehealth when necessary.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care, including contraceptive services at qualifying hospitals.
- Provide direct care to high-risk patients, utilizing telephone or video consultation with Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists as needed.
- Participate daily in Labor and Delivery board rounds, contributing to informed, team-based decision making.
- Act as the Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery, ensuring all patients receive the safest possible care regardless of their primary admitting clinician.
- Support community physicians and midwives by offering clinical assistance and practice coverage upon request, aligning with safety protocols.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified or active candidate in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN).
- Licensed to practice medicine in the corresponding state of the assigned site.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong, positive working relationships with hospital leadership, hospitalist teams, nurses, staff physicians, and corporate staff.
- Significant experience in obstetrical emergency care is preferred.
