The OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) plays a critical role in providing comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care in a hospital-based setting. As an integral member of the hospitalist clinical team, the OB Hospitalist Physician is committed to optimizing maternal and neonatal outcomes while supporting the broader healthcare team, including community physicians and midwives. The role involves both direct patient care and vital leadership responsibilities as the designated Safety Officer in Labor and Delivery. OB Hospitalist Physicians are essential in supporting seamless operations within Labor and Delivery units, serving as resources for both hospital staff and affiliated community providers.

Full-time OB Hospitalist Physicians typically work a variety of shift schedules, which may include predominantly 24-hour shifts as well as some 12-hour or mixed models. Flexibility in scheduling supports both patient care needs and clinician work-life balance.
