OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist)
We are seeking a dedicated OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) to join our clinical team. This role is ideal for a board certified or board eligible OB/GYN physician who is passionate about providing high-quality obstetrical and gynecological care in a hospital-based setting. As an integral member of the OB Hospitalist program, you will play a key role in supporting safe, comprehensive care for women, ensuring optimal outcomes for patients and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. As an OB Hospitalist Physician, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive OB/GYN care, including management of high-risk patients and emergency obstetric situations. You will participate in daily labor and delivery board rounds, serve as the Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery, and provide clinical support to community physicians and midwives as requested. Your clinical acumen, strong communication skills, and ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders will be essential to success in this role.
This full-time position features a primary schedule of 24-hour shifts, with some 12-hour or mixed-shift models, offering flexibility and the ability to maintain a balanced work schedule. Clinicians typically commit to 5 or more shifts per 28-day block, fostering continuity of care and teamwork within the hospitalist service. OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) - Summary- Provide hospital-based obstetric and gynecological care, including management of high-risk pregnancies and emergencies
- Serve as a key member of a collaborative OB Hospitalist team focused on delivering quality outcomes
- Support community healthcare providers and ensure the highest safety standards in labor and delivery
- Deliver comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care to hospital patients, including contraceptive services where applicable
- Manage direct patient care for high-risk cases, leveraging Maternal Fetal Medicine support when available
- Participate in daily labor and delivery board rounds with the clinical team
- Act as the designated Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery, ensuring safe care for all patients
- Provide clinical assistance and coverage to community physicians and midwives as needed
- Maintain excellent communication and collaboration with hospital leadership, staff physicians, nurses, and corporate teams

- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN)
- Eligible for state medical licensure at the assigned site

- Significant experience in obstetrical emergency care is preferred
- Experienced OB/GYN physician with a focus on hospital-based practice
