We are seeking a dedicated and skilled OB Hospitalist Physician (also known as OB/GYN Hospitalist) to join our dynamic clinical team. This full-time position offers an opportunity for a board-certified or board-eligible OB/GYN Physician to deliver exceptional obstetrical and gynecological care in a collaborative hospital environment. As an OB Hospitalist Physician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and clinical excellence for all patients on the Labor and Delivery unit. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about providing direct patient care, supporting community clinicians, and contributing to team-based approaches within the hospital setting.

As an OB Hospitalist Physician, your responsibilities will include delivering comprehensive care to obstetric and gynecological patients, including high-risk cases. You will work closely with Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists, often utilizing telemedicine support, and participate in daily board rounds to ensure continuity and quality of care. In addition, you will act as the Safety Officer for Labor and Delivery, championing patient safety protocols and best practices for all patients, regardless of their primary admitting clinician. Providing clinical support to community physicians and midwives, as well as covering practice as needed, will be integral parts of your role.

This OB Hospitalist Physician position involves working a structured shift schedule, primarily consisting of 24-hour shifts, with some options for 12-hour or mixed-shift models as needed. Full-time clinicians typically work an average of 5-9 shifts per 28-day block, providing you the opportunity to maintain a healthy work-life balance while delivering high-quality care to patients.

In this role, you will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, which includes health, life, vision, and dental insurance, as well as a 401k retirement plan with profit sharing and Roth options. Malpractice insurance is fully covered, including lifetime tail coverage for your peace of mind. Continuing medical education is supported through an annual stipend and reimbursement for professional memberships, certification maintenance, and licensure fees associated with hospital assignments. This commitment to professional development ensures that you have the resources necessary to stay current in your field and deliver the best patient outcomes possible.

The OB Hospitalist Physician position is ideal for individuals who are highly relational and skilled at building strong, positive working relationships with hospital leadership, hospitalist teams, nurses, staff physicians, and administrative staff. Candidates should be board certified or actively pursuing board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology and possess a valid medical license in the state of assignment. Significant experience providing obstetrical emergency care is highly preferred, as is a demonstrated ability to remain calm and effective in high-acuity situations.

Working in this area offers access to a supportive team environment and opportunities to make a meaningful impact on maternal and infant health in the region.
