As an OB Hospitalist Physician, you will be engaged in direct patient care for both routine and high-risk obstetrical and gynecological cases. Your role includes providing comprehensive services, participating in daily rounds, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all patients within the labor and delivery unit. OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) - Summary
- Deliver obstetrical and gynecological care to a diverse patient population in a hospital setting.
- Work collaboratively as part of an integrated clinical team focused on high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Serve as a critical safety leader on the labor and delivery unit, prioritizing safe outcomes for all patients.
- Support community clinicians and midwives through clinical assistance and collaboration as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide direct obstetrical and gynecological care, including contraceptive services where offered.
- Manage high-risk obstetrical cases, utilizing Maternal Fetal Medicine support via telemedicine as required.
- Participate in daily labor and delivery board rounds to ensure comprehensive care and communication.
- Serve as the designated Safety Officer on the labor and delivery unit, overseeing patient safety protocols.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership, hospitalist teams, nurses, and other staff to maintain a cohesive care environment.
- Provide clinical assistance and practice coverage for community physicians and midwives as requested and within safety guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified or Active Candidate in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN).
- Licensed to practice medicine in the state where the assigned hospital is located.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and positive working relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in managing obstetrical emergencies is highly preferred.
- Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and collaborative practice.
