OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) - Summary- Provide acute and routine obstetrical and gynecological care to patients in a hospital setting.
- Serve as a key member of the clinical team, ensuring high standards of safety and quality in Labor and Delivery.
- Support and collaborate with community physicians and midwives to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain clinical excellence.
- Deliver obstetrical and gynecological care, including contraceptive services where available.
- Manage direct patient care for high-risk pregnancies, utilizing Maternal Fetal Medicine support as needed, including remote consultation.
- Engage in daily Labor and Delivery board rounds with the multidisciplinary team.
- Act as the Safety Officer in Labor and Delivery, monitoring safety protocols and ensuring all patients receive optimal outcomes.
- Provide clinical assistance and practice coverage for community physicians and midwives when requested and as safely possible.

- Board Certified or Board-eligible (active candidate) in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Licensed to practice medicine in the relevant state of employment.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with hospital teams, leadership, and staff.
- Significant experience with obstetrical emergency care is preferred.
- Experienced OB/GYN physician comfortable with high-acuity, hospital-based care settings.
- Excellent communicator and team player, able to collaborate effectively with diverse medical teams and community providers.
- Proactive in upholding patient safety and quality standards in Labor and Delivery.
- Committed to continuous learning and professional growth within the OB hospitalist field.
- Shift structure primarily includes 24-hour shifts, with some 12-hour or mixed-shift options available.
- Full-time clinicians typically work 5-9 (24-hour) shifts per 28-day scheduling block, offering flexibility and work-life balance.
