OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) - Full-Time

We are seeking a dedicated OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) to join our clinical team. This essential position is focused on delivering exceptional obstetrical and gynecological care in a hospital setting. As a member of our OB Hospitalist team, you will play a critical role in promoting patient safety, supporting colleagues, and ensuring the highest standards of care for women and newborns. In this OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) role, you will provide comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care—including contraceptive services where available—to a diverse patient population. You will also deliver direct care for high-risk pregnancies, often collaborating with Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists via telehealth as needed. Daily responsibilities include participating in labor and delivery board rounds and serving as Safety Officer to ensure optimal patient outcomes. You will be a valued resource to community physicians and midwives, offering clinical support and practice coverage when necessary and as safely available. Your expertise and leadership will be integral in fostering a culture of safety and excellence within the hospital.

Full-time OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) positions typically require a commitment to 24-hour shifts, with some opportunities for 12-hour or mixed-shift models. The standard schedule includes 59 shifts per 28-day block, providing a balanced and predictable work structure. Continuing medical education is supported through an annual stipend for professional dues, certification maintenance, and licensure fees associated with assignments.

Candidates must be Board Certified or an active candidate in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and hold a valid medical license for the applicable state. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as building rapport with hospital leadership, staff, and corporate team members is key to success in this environment. Significant experience in obstetrical emergency care is highly valued and preferred.
