OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) - Summary
- Full-time hospital-based physician role specializing in obstetrics and gynecology.
- Deliver comprehensive perinatal and gynecological care to diverse patient populations.
- Serve as a safety leader and clinical resource in labor and delivery units.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams and community providers.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for obstetric and gynecological needs, including contraceptive services where available.
- Manage high-risk obstetric patients, leveraging Maternal Fetal Medicine consultation as necessary through telehealth or in-person support.
- Lead and participate actively in daily Labor and Delivery board rounds, contributing clinical expertise and care planning.
- Serve as the designated Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery, advocating for optimal patient safety and outcomes for all patients, regardless of the admitting clinician.
- Support and collaborate with community physicians and midwives, providing practice coverage or clinical assistance as appropriate and safe.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible OB/GYN Physician.
- Active medical license in the state of assignment, or ability to obtain one prior to start date.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong, positive rapport and working relationships with hospital leadership, hospitalist teams, nursing staff, community physicians, and support staff.
- Significant experience in obstetrical emergency care is preferred.

- The majority of shifts are 24-hour in duration, with some 12-hour or mixed-shift models available.
- Full-time clinicians typically work approximately 5-9 (24-hour) shifts per 28-day block, allowing for work-life balance and continuity of care.
