OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) - Summary
- Provide comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care within a hospital setting
- Ensure patient safety and deliver high-quality care for laboring and high-risk patients
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and serve as a resource for community providers
- Participate in daily board rounds and act as a champion for safety on Labor and Delivery
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver obstetrical and gynecological care, including contraceptive services in applicable hospitals
- Provide direct patient care to high-risk obstetric patients, utilizing Maternal Fetal Medicine support when available (via telephone or video consultation if necessary)
- Participate in daily Labor and Delivery board rounds, ensuring effective communication and patient management
- Serve as the Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery to advocate for the safest possible outcomes for all patients
- Support community physicians and midwives by providing clinical assistance and coverage as needed

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified or Active Candidate in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN)
- Licensed to practice medicine in the state of the assigned site
- Demonstrated ability to build strong rapport and positive working relationships with hospital leadership, hospitalist teams, nurses, staff physicians, and corporate staff
- Significant experience in obstetrical emergency care (preferred)
