As an OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist), you will provide direct patient care, including the management of high-risk pregnancies, delivery services, and gynecological care. You will work closely with labor and delivery teams, participate in daily rounds, and act as a safety officer to promote best practices and positive outcomes for all patients. This position also includes supporting community physicians and midwives through clinical assistance and practice coverage, as needed. OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) - Summary- Provide comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care within a hospital setting
- Ensure patient safety and deliver high-quality care for laboring and high-risk patients
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and serve as a resource for community providers
- Participate in daily board rounds and act as a champion for safety on Labor and Delivery
- Deliver obstetrical and gynecological care, including contraceptive services in applicable hospitals
- Provide direct patient care to high-risk obstetric patients, utilizing Maternal Fetal Medicine support when available (via telephone or video consultation if necessary)
- Participate in daily Labor and Delivery board rounds, ensuring effective communication and patient management
- Serve as the Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery to advocate for the safest possible outcomes for all patients
- Support community physicians and midwives by providing clinical assistance and coverage as needed

- Clinicians eligible for benefits with a shift commitment of at least 5 shifts per 28-day block
- Board Certified or Active Candidate in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN)
- Licensed to practice medicine in the state of the assigned site
- Demonstrated ability to build strong rapport and positive working relationships with hospital leadership, hospitalist teams, nurses, staff physicians, and corporate staff
- Significant experience in obstetrical emergency care (preferred)
- Highly relational and skilled in effective communication with multidisciplinary teams
- Proven ability to maintain patient safety and deliver quality care in high-pressure situations
- Experience with high-risk obstetrics and emergency management in a hospital setting
- Commitment to ongoing professional development through CME and certification maintenance
- Shifts primarily consist of 24-hour coverage, with some opportunities for 12-hour or mixed-shift models
- Full-time clinicians typically work 5-9 (24-hour) shifts per 28-day block, providing flexibility and work-life balance
