OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) - Summary
- Provide comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care in a hospital setting
- Serve as a clinical leader and patient safety advocate on the Labor and Delivery team
- Collaborate with community healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care
- Deliver care to high-risk patients, including those with limited access to Maternal Fetal Medicine support
- Work a combination of 24-hour and 12-hour shifts as part of a flexible scheduling model
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver obstetrical and gynecological care, including contraceptive services where available
- Provide direct clinical care to high-risk obstetric patients, sometimes in collaboration with remote Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists
- Participate in daily Labor and Delivery board rounds to review and manage patient care plans
- Fulfill the role of Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery, ensuring all patients receive safe, evidence-based care
- Support and collaborate with community physicians and midwives, providing clinical assistance and practice coverage as needed
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical documentation for all patient encounters
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to hospital protocols and best practices

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified or active candidate in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN)
- Current medical license to practice in the state of the assigned hospital site
- Demonstrated ability to build strong, positive relationships with colleagues, hospital leadership, nurses, and staff
- Experience with obstetrical emergency care preferred
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety
