OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) - Summary
- Deliver comprehensive inpatient obstetrical and gynecological care
- Serve as a key clinical leader during Labor and Delivery shifts
- Support the hospital's mission to provide safe, patient-centered care
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, nurses, and hospital leadership
- Work in a dynamic hospital-based environment focused on maternal and fetal safety
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide direct obstetrical and gynecological patient care, including contraceptive services where applicable
- Manage care for high-risk obstetrical patients, including those requiring Maternal Fetal Medicine consultation via phone or video
- Participate in daily Labor and Delivery board rounds to coordinate patient care and safety
- Serve as the Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery, ensuring safe outcomes for all patients
- Offer clinical assistance to community physicians and midwives, including practice coverage as needed
- Engage in effective communication and collaboration with all members of the clinical team
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities
- Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and patient confidentiality

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible OB/GYN physician (OB Hospitalist Physician/OB/GYN Hospitalist)
- Active medical license in the state of practice
- Demonstrated experience in managing obstetrical emergencies (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, hospital leadership, and staff
- Commitment to high standards of patient safety and quality care
