As an OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist), you will play a key role in ensuring the safety and well-being of mothers and infants. You will provide expert care to both routine and high-risk obstetric patients, make critical decisions in urgent and emergent situations, and act as a resource to nursing staff, community physicians, and midwives. OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) - Summary
- Deliver direct patient care to obstetrical and gynecological patients within a hospital setting.
- Focus on providing safe and effective care for both routine and high-risk pregnancies.
- Work collaboratively with hospital staff, community physicians, and midwives.
- Act as a leader in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care, including contraceptive services where offered.
- Deliver direct care to high-risk patients, including those requiring Maternal Fetal Medicine support via telemedicine.
- Participate in daily Labor and Delivery board rounds to coordinate patient care and promote team communication.
- Serve as the Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery, ensuring optimal outcomes for all patients.
- Support and collaborate with community physicians and midwives through clinical assistance and practice coverage as needed and available.
- Engage with multidisciplinary teams to foster a culture of safety, respect, and accountability.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology (Ob/Gyn).
- Active medical license in the state of Texas, or eligibility to obtain one prior to start date.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with multidisciplinary teams, including hospital leadership, nurses, physicians, and corporate staff.
- Significant experience with obstetrical emergency care preferred.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care in a hospital setting.
