We are seeking an experienced and compassionate OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) to join our dedicated clinical team. As an OB Hospitalist Physician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality obstetrical and gynecological care to patients, ensuring the best possible outcomes for mothers and newborns. OB Hospitalist Physicians are essential members of the care team, working closely with hospital leadership, nursing staff, and community providers to deliver exceptional care around the clock.
As an OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist), you will deliver direct patient care, manage high-risk obstetrical cases, and serve as the Safety Officer in Labor and Delivery. You will also participate in daily board rounds and collaborate with Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists as needed, ensuring comprehensive support for patients and their families. This role involves a rotating shift schedule, with the majority of shifts being 24-hour periods, offering a balance between clinical excellence and work-life integration. OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) - Summary
- Deliver comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care within a hospital setting.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Engage in daily labor and delivery rounds, supporting both patients and clinical staff.
- Participate in a flexible shift schedule with a focus on full-time coverage.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality obstetrical and gynecological care, including contraceptive services where available.
- Deliver direct patient care to high-risk obstetric patients, with access to Maternal Fetal Medicine support via telehealth when necessary.
- Actively participate in daily Labor and Delivery board rounds to coordinate patient care.
- Serve as the Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety for all deliveries.
- Offer clinical and practice coverage assistance to community physicians and midwives as requested and as safely available.
- Maintain clear communication and effective collaboration with hospitalist teams, nursing staff, and leadership.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certification or active candidacy in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) is required.
- Active and unrestricted medical license to practice as a physician in the relevant state.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work effectively with hospital leadership, nursing staff, fellow hospitalists, and corporate stakeholders.
- Significant experience in managing obstetrical emergencies is preferred.
