OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) - Summary
- Deliver comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care within a hospital environment
- Engage in direct patient care, including management of high-risk cases
- Participate in daily rounds and serve as a key safety advocate on Labor and Delivery
- Support and collaborate with community-based clinicians and hospital staff
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide a full spectrum of obstetrical and gynecological services to patients, including contraceptive care where available
- Deliver direct care to high-risk obstetric patients, utilizing telemedicine consultation with Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists as needed
- Participate actively in daily Labor and Delivery board rounds, contributing to comprehensive patient management
- Act as Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery, ensuring safe outcomes for all patients, regardless of their primary clinician
- Offer clinical assistance and practice coverage to community physicians and midwives as requested, prioritizing safety and collaboration
- Engage in ongoing communication with hospital leadership, hospitalist teams, nurses, staff physicians, and corporate staff to foster a positive and cohesive working environment

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified or eligible (Active Candidate) in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Licensed to practice medicine in the state of the assigned hospital
- Demonstrated ability to build strong rapport with hospital leadership, medical teams, nursing staff, and corporate stakeholders
- Significant experience with obstetrical emergency care preferred
