OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) - Summary
- Deliver hospital-based obstetrical and gynecological care as part of a collaborative team.
- Ensure safe outcomes for all patients through direct care, clinical support, and leadership in hospital settings.
- Participate in structured shift models, including 24-hour and 12-hour shifts.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care to hospital inpatients and those presenting in labor and delivery.
- Administer contraceptive services as allowed by hospital policy and protocols.
- Deliver direct patient care to high-risk pregnancies, navigating complex cases where Maternal Fetal Medicine support is available remotely.
- Participate daily in Labor and Delivery board rounds, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to review patient status and care plans.
- Assume the role of Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery, ensuring all patients experience the safest possible outcomes regardless of their admitting clinician.
- Support community physicians and midwives by providing clinical assistance and coverage, as requested and as patient safety allows.
- Demonstrate strong relationship-building skills to foster a positive, collaborative environment with hospital leadership, healthcare staff, and corporate partners.
