OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) - Summary
- Deliver high-quality obstetrical and gynecological care as part of a hospital-based clinical team.
- Support community healthcare providers and ensure patient safety across all aspects of labor and delivery.
- Participate actively in patient rounds and act as a safety advocate for all patients in the hospital's labor and delivery unit.
- Work flexible shift schedules, primarily consisting of 24-hour shifts.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care to patients, including contraceptive services where available.
- Deliver direct patient care to high-risk obstetric patients, collaborating with Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists as needed, including via telemedicine.
- Participate in daily Labor and Delivery board rounds, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Serve as the Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery, ensuring all patients receive the safest care possible, regardless of their primary clinician.
- Support community physicians and midwives by offering clinical assistance and practice coverage as requested and appropriate.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN).
- Active medical license to practice medicine in the state of assignment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with hospital leadership, staff, and colleagues.
- Demonstrated experience in obstetrical emergency care preferred.
