Our hospitalist program is structured to provide comprehensive support for patients and their families throughout their obstetric journey. The OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, midwives, and community physicians, to ensure coordinated and seamless care. This role involves managing high-risk cases, participating in daily rounds, and serving as a safety leader within the labor and delivery unit. OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) - Summary- Deliver comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care as a core member of the hospitalist clinical team
- Focus on providing safe, high-quality care to patients, including those with complex and high-risk pregnancies
- Serve as a resource and support for community-based physicians and midwives
- Emphasize patient safety and positive outcomes through daily involvement in labor and delivery processes
- Provide obstetrical and gynecological care to patients, including contraceptive services as applicable
- Deliver direct patient care to high-risk patients, including situations where Maternal Fetal Medicine support may be remote
- Participate in daily Labor and Delivery board rounds to discuss patient status and care plans
- Serve as Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery, ensuring optimal patient outcomes for all admissions
- Support community physicians and midwives by offering clinical assistance and practice coverage as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement best practices in obstetric care
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current guidelines and standards of care in OB/GYN hospitalist practice

- Board Certified or actively pursuing certification as an OB/GYN Physician
- Licensed to practice medicine in the state of assignment

- Significant experience in obstetrical emergency care preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care and safety
- Highly skilled OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) with a passion for hospital-based maternal care
- Adaptable and collaborative, able to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams

- Shifts primarily consist of 24-hour coverage, with some 12-hour or mixed-shift models available
- Full-time clinicians typically work a set number of shifts per scheduling block, ensuring continuity of care
