OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) - Summary
- Deliver comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care as a core member of the hospitalist clinical team
- Focus on providing safe, high-quality care to patients, including those with complex and high-risk pregnancies
- Serve as a resource and support for community-based physicians and midwives
- Emphasize patient safety and positive outcomes through daily involvement in labor and delivery processes
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide obstetrical and gynecological care to patients, including contraceptive services as applicable
- Deliver direct patient care to high-risk patients, including situations where Maternal Fetal Medicine support may be remote
- Participate in daily Labor and Delivery board rounds to discuss patient status and care plans
- Serve as Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery, ensuring optimal patient outcomes for all admissions
- Support community physicians and midwives by offering clinical assistance and practice coverage as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement best practices in obstetric care
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current guidelines and standards of care in OB/GYN hospitalist practice

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified or actively pursuing certification as an OB/GYN Physician
- Licensed to practice medicine in the state of assignment
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with hospital leadership, clinical staff, and corporate team members
- Significant experience in obstetrical emergency care preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care and safety
